Sumida Park is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, selected as one of the top 100 cherry blossom locations.
The cherry blossoms in Sumida Park began when Tokugawa Yoshimune planted sakura during the Edo period.
Cherry blossom trees line both banks of the Sumida River for about 1 km (^o^)
There are 343 cherry trees planted on the Sumida Ward side and about 600 on the Asakusa side across the river.
The collaboration with Tokyo Skytree(R) is also a highlight♡
The cherry blossom information is that it will start blooming on March 23, with full bloom expected on March 29🌸
The access from our hotel to Sumida Park is excellent, taking a total of 13 minutes by foot and train.
