~ Overview of 'STEINS;GATE' ~
'STEINS;GATE' is a game released in October 2009, conceived and produced by Chiyomaru Shikura, based on the concept of 99% science and 1% fantasy. It is the second installment in the 'Science Adventure Series,' which incorporates real scientific phenomena as the framework of the story in a sci-fi suspense narrative.
The story begins with the protagonist, Rintarou Okabe, creating a time machine in a circle called the 'Future Gadget Laboratory,' and it revolves around time travel in a science fiction setting.
In addition to being adapted into a TV anime and a theatrical anime, various media mix developments are taking place, including stage adaptations, comic adaptations, novelizations, and the release of sequel games.
The voice cast includes Mamoru Miyano as Rintarou Okabe, Kana Hanazawa as Mayuri Shiina, Tomokazu Seki as Itaru Hashida, and Asami Imai as Kurisu Makise. This work will celebrate its 15th anniversary in October 2024.
