🌕 Autumn Lounge Event — Handmade Monaka for a Moon Viewing Mood
Hello, this is Henn na Hotel Tokyo Ginza.
September is known for the "Mid-Autumn Moon."
It is said that in the past, the full moon was called the "midst moon."
The origin of monaka dates back to the mid-Edo period, when a senbei shop in Edo Yoshiwara (present-day Taito Ward) sold "Monaka no Tsuki."
This time, in honor of its origin, we have prepared "handmade monaka" in the lounge!
We received cooperation from "Tanekame," a long-established shop founded in 1850 (Kaei 3) in Asakusa Komagata, Taito Ward.
Enjoy the classic red bean paste and the autumn-exclusive chestnut paste filled in traditional monaka wafers.
