New Year's Visit to Shrines

★Oyamajinja Shrine　（About a 5-minute walk from the hotel）

 A shrine dedicated to the first lord of the Kaga Domain, Maeda Toshiie, and his legal wife, Omatsu.

The stained glass is a feature, and when night falls, the lights are lit, making it very beautiful.

This is the closest shrine to the hotel!If you are staying, please make sure to visit 😊

★Ishihura Shrine　(About a 10-minute walk from the hotel)

 The shrine closest to Kenrokuen. It is popular as a power spot that brings benefits for matchmaking.

At the shrine, there is a rare mascot, "Kimachan" 🐕

★Kanazawa Shrine　(About a 20-minute walk from the hotel)

This is a shrine famous for academic achievement dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane (Tenjin).

On New Year's Eve, the welcoming fire for the New Year is enchanting, and during the first three days of the New Year, there will be a serving of "kombucha" made with the sacred water from "Kinjō Reisaku."

In front of the main hall, we offer prayers for "academic success"and distribute talismans (3,000 prepared only for the New Year) that are inserted into skewers.

☆New Year's Holiday Kenrokuen Free Admission

Free admission from December 31 to January 3.

Additionally, we will be open all night from December 31 to January 1 until 8 AM.

★Kanazawa City Fire Department New Year Ceremony "Kaga Tobi Ladder Climbing"(About a 15-minute walk from the hotel)

It is a traditional New Year's event. You can see the brave figures of the fire brigade members dressed in matching happi coats.

More than 40 ladders have been set up in the New Maru Square of Kanazawa Castle Park, starting with the fire lookout,

Breath-taking performances such as Yasso-dobi, Haibuki, Nihon-seikame, Ippon-seikame, Yoko-dai, Saru-no-ko-kaeshi, and Uguisu-no-tani-watari will be showcased.

★Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden Seasonal Story - Winter Edition (Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden Light Up)(About a 15-minute walk from the hotel)

Kenrokuen will be open for free at night, and there will be a limited-time light-up event at Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen.

The scenery changes with the seasons, but in winter, you can enjoy a fantastical world of snow and snow hanging.

★Kanou Crab & Kōbako Crab

Products caught in Ishikawa Prefecture are branded as "Kanou Crab," characterized by a blue tag on their legs.

The fishing season is from early November to mid-March every year. On the other hand, female snow crabs are called "Kōbako crabs."

The fishing season here is shorter than for males, lasting until the end of December.

During the season, crab dishes are popular at restaurants in the city🦀

When you think of Kanazawa, think fresh seafood!!

In spring, it's Thai; in summer, it's red squid and rock oysters; in autumn, it's black throat and barracuda...
