🌙September Decoration Theme "The Harvest Moon" ~Prayers to the Moon~🐰

Thank you very much for always choosing our hotel.
This month's front desk decoration features the theme of "Jugoya," the full moon shining brightly.

The Fifteenth Night is a traditional Japanese event where people appreciate the blessings of the season and nature while admiring the beautiful full moon floating in the clear autumn night sky. 🌕

In the old calendar (lunar calendar), a full moon was often seen around the 15th of each month, and that night was affectionately called "Jugoya" (the fifteenth night). In the current calendar, Jugoya usually falls from mid-September to early October.
On this day, fluffy white moon-viewing dumplings and pampas grass, which is considered a substitute for rice ears, are offered while looking up at the moon, praying for the autumn harvest and family happiness. The perfectly round dumplings represent the shape of the full moon. 🌾

People in the past used to look at the moon floating in the night sky and imagine a rabbit pounding mochi, or think fondly of loved ones far away. 🐇🌕

In that way, the full moon night is not just about looking at the moon, but also a warm time to calm the mind and appreciate what is important.

May the gentle light of the moon softly reach everyone's heart. 🌟
