This time, we will introduce the event that will be held in Nara in the summer of 2024!!
1. Lantern Festival
The Nara Tokkae is a summer tradition in Nara, held for only 10 days.
About 20,000 candles illuminate the scenery of the ancient city of Nara.
●Event Date: August 5, 2024 - August 14, 2024
●Time: 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
●Location: Nara Park (Kasugano Enchi, Ukigumo Enchi, Asajigahara, Ukimidou, Sarusawa Pond, Kofukuji, Nara National Museum, Todai-ji, Kasuga Taisha)
Note: Todai-ji will be held only on August 13 and 14, and Kasuga-taisha will be held only on August 14.
●Access from the hotel: Henn na Hotel - 10 minutes on foot from Nara Park
2. Basara Festival 2024
The dance team will showcase a dancing performance parade with costumes full of creative ideas.
A new summer festival in Nara that is full of a lively atmosphere and encourages citizen participation.

●Location: August 24th Official Worship (Todai-ji, Kasuga Shrine)・Dedication Dance (Kasuga Shrine)
August 25th JR Nara Station Square・Sanjo Street (Parade)・Dedication Dance (Todai-ji)
●Access from the hotel: Walking distance to the parade venue
Naramachi Stroll
A town where traces of the Edo period still remain.
The nostalgic townscape is illuminated by the light of lanterns.
●Event Date: August 23, 2024 - August 25, 2024
●Time: 18:30-21:00 ※In case of rain, it may be canceled.
●Location: Naramachi and around Sarusawa Pond
4. Nara Daimonji Sending Fire
Started in 1960 for the purpose of memorializing war dead.
We are currently holding a memorial service for those who have passed away, including those who died due to disasters.
It is held every year on August 15 as an event to pray for world peace.

●Ignition Location: Mount Koen, Nara City (visible from the ground)
