Aiming to acquire skills in using computers and to cultivate logical thinking, "programming education" became mandatory in elementary schools starting in 2020. Additionally, due to the increase in online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic, children are having more opportunities to use computers.
At Henn na Hotel Maihama Tokyo Bay, we have introduced the mobile communication robot "Robohon" developed by Sharp as a concierge exclusively for guests, providing information about the hotel and surrounding tourist attractions in all guest rooms.
Therefore, at the "Henn na Hotel Maihama Tokyo Bay" guest rooms, we offer a "Programming Learning Plan" where children can learn programming using the "Robohon" installed in the guest rooms.
This plan allows you to learn programming while enjoying the operation and interaction with "Robohon." By inputting programs such as "speak" and "move" into a dedicated tablet, Robohon will speak and act according to the programmed instructions. Additionally, it includes the ability to teach Robohon to recognize objects, such as people, using its image recognition function.
Instructions will be provided via video on the in-room television, allowing you to learn programming while checking the steps. Additionally, the room can be used exclusively by you.
