Let's Celebrate Children's Day ♡
Hello, this is Henn na Hotel Tokyo Hamamatsucho.
Finally, the weather has warmed up and comfortable days continue. How is everyone doing?
On May 5th, for Children's Day, carp streamers are cheerfully swimming at the front desk.
March was an event to celebrate the growth of girls, but in May, we wish for the healthy growth of boys with armor helmets and carp streamers.
This is an ancient tradition filled with wishes
During this time of year, it is customary to take a bath with iris leaves, called 'Shobu-yu,' to ward off evil spirits and pray for protection from illness and good health, using the fragrance of irises.
Originally, it meant the "Horse" day at the beginning of the month, and it was not something exclusive to May as it is now.
There was none, but at some point, the hearts of parents wishing for their children's growth became an annual event.
It has become well established.
Every day in Hamamatsucho, we pray for everyone's health and prosperity and look forward to your visit.
