You can enjoy painting freely on a plain Kutani ware "beckoning cat" with a special pen.
Enjoy it as a summer vacation project or as your own original interior decoration.
You can enjoy it easily at home, but we also offer free rental of special pens in the hotel, so you can experience painting here!

・Baking Service (Fee Required)
You can take home the painted "Maneki Neko" and bake it in your home oven. At our hotel, we offer a baking service from "3:00 PM to 7:00 PM" for a fee of 500 yen (tax included) per group. If you are interested, please call a staff member at the front desk.

■Process of Painting■
➀ Please thoroughly remove the oil and dirt from the "Maneki Neko".
② Color it with your favorite color using a special pen.
③ Heat it in a home oven at 200 degrees for about 25 minutes.
④ Let it cool for more than an hour to complete.

■Notes■
Please be careful not to touch the painted areas.
If you take it home before firing after painting, please dry it well and wrap it in plastic or similar to prevent color transfer, as the coloring is not sufficient.
There may be color changes after firing. Please allow it to cool down before removing it, as it will be hot after firing.
Please be careful when taking it home, as it is fragile. Returns and refunds cannot be accepted after the product is handed over.

A kiln established in 1914 (Taisho 3), continuing the production of figurines for over a hundred years in Yawata-cho, Komatsu City, known for Kutani ware.
Yahata in Komatsu City is a rare gathering place for pottery manufacturers specializing in figurines, and it possesses very advanced technical skills.
In recent years, we have been producing a wide variety of materials that meet modern demands, such as character goods. To convey the charm of Kutani, both old and new, we are energetically working on the creation, rediscovery, and promotion of new attractions of Kutani ware, including collaborations with unique Kutani ware artists.
