This time, we will introduce events held in Nara during the summer!

●Nara Tokae
This is an annual summer event that illuminates the night of the ancient city of Nara with about 20,000 candle lights, creating a magical atmosphere.

Schedule: August 5, 2026 (Wed) – August 14, 2026 (Fri)
Lighting Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. (Held rain or shine; may be canceled in severe weather)
Location: Throughout Nara Park

●Nara Daimonji Okuribi
Started in 1960 with the purpose of honoring war dead, this event is now held every year on August 15 to memorialize those who have died in disasters as well, while praying for world peace.

Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 7:55 p.m. Joint Memorial Service for the War Dead and Deities (Kasuga Taisha Shrine Grounds, Tobihino)
　　　8:00 p.m.　　　　 Lighting (Mt. Kōen)
